An NFL Draft Worth Remembering

It’s been coming a long time. And this week it hit: NFL legal battles. The upshot is that we are ending up with uncertainty the likes that modern football has never seen. For most of us it is the excitement of the game that draws us to football. Well, this year that thrill is happening off the field too. Talk about unpredictable!!!

The lockout has tied the hands of the teams and enlarged their needs so much that it is anybody’s guess as to what could come down! But really, this takes football down to it’s bottom line, something we all understand: football! It will be full of basic questions like what is his record and how can he help our team?

The labor struggles have made us all uncertain about football but the irony is that this very fact is what excites us in the first place. In the midst of the turmoil we will have one of the most memorable drafts anyone can remember.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 Trailer Released

Are you ready for goosebumps? A trailer for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 has hit the press and fan blogs. Even though it has been branded a fake, this is quite a hair raising look at the movie Muggles all over the world are dying to see.

Warner Bros. pulled the clip off YouTube with these curt remarks:

"Warner Bros. is not pulling the 'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2' trailer. The alleged 'trailer' is not a trailer. It's a fan-created piece that uses the studio's intellectual property in an unauthorized way."

The fan trailer is full of battles with Death Eaters and Voldemort and snippets from the action-packed finale to the Harry Potter saga. Following much more reflective and solemn Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Par 1 that laid a foundation, the conclusion will be explosive.

The movie is suppose to primiere in London on July 7. It will be followed with a release in the US on July 15. The suspense is building! This trailer may be bogus but it is right impressive! Don’t turn blue in the couple minutes it takes to watch it!

Can He Stop The "Birthers"?

On Wednesday, President Barack Obama released the “long form” birth certificate, the piece of paper that many have long been waiting to see.  It has been at the center of “conspiracy” talk that claims that Obama has no legitimant right to be president of the United States.

Many hold to theories like the one of Obama losing his citizenship by being adopted by his stepfather, who was an Indonesian, and then moving to Indonesia.  Evidence to prove such things is hard to come by, even when Obama did live in Indonesia with his mother for a few years.

Obama is not pleased!  He said, "I know that there is going to be a segment of people for which no matter what we put out, this issue will not be put to rest.  But I am speaking for the vast majority of the American people as well as for the press. We do not have time for this kind of silliness. We have better stuff to do. I have got better stuff to do. We have got big problems to solve."

Donald Trump, who has his eye on a Republican presidency, recently began questioning why Obama hadn't put this issue to rest long ago.  "He should have done it a long time ago. I am really honored to play such a big role in hopefully, hopefully getting rid of this issue," said Trump.

And perhaps Trump is right.  Why has he waited so long to settle this? Was it wise to let it become an issue? All people want is sound answers.  Instead the President has forced us to act like a bunch of paranoid conspiritist for three years! There will be those that demand answers.

The polls reveal many Republicans actually doubt that the president is a natural born citizen.  And, of course, do we really think this will shut up the “birthers”?  Nope.  They aren’t going to change their minds any time soon!  Already claims that the new document has been doctored.

The founder of the Tea Party Nation asks, “Why did Obama spend millions of dollars to keep this document secret?”  And another comment on the site alleges that “someone will investigate this BC and prove it to be a fraud, like what they have tried to pass off in the past”.

But hey, if siblings can’t get along around the dinner table, can we expect any better around a national table?
